BAUER, Daniel Scott "Danny" - 20, Kingston, died July 1, 2002, in Coldbrook. Born in Leth- bridge, Alta., he was a son of Karen (Coleman) Bauer-Ramsay (Clare Ramsay, stepfather), Kingston and Ronald Bauer (Debbie Smith), Medicine Hat, Alta. He graduated an honor student from Middleton Regional High School where he played volleyball and basketball. He attended Dalhousie University for one year before receiving a scholarship to Royal Military College "RMC", Kingston, Ont. He was enrolled as an officer cadet in the Canadian Armed Forces having just completed his second year. He was in the top 10 percent of his class, majoring in history and diplomacy. He was a starter on the varsity volleyball team, an active member of a bible study cell group and an active member of the photo video group. (This was Dan's way of avoiding parade duty). He was a member of Kingston Baptist Church. He will be lovingly remembered by Debbie, Dennis, Matt and Rich Smith; Kim, Bob, Erin and Steph Power; Angela and Antoine Verheijen and family; Mike and Nancy Bauer and family; numerous other family, friends and RMC comrades. Surviving are sister, Krista Marie, Kingston; stepsisters, Eileen, Kingston; Amanda, Halifax; brother, Ryan David, Kingston; stepbrothers, Anthony (Anne), Fredericton, N.B.; Douglas and Bruce, both of Kingston; maternal grandparents, Dick and Erma Coleman, Kingston; paternal grandparents, Art and Pat Bauer, Edmonton, Alta.; paternal great-grandmother, Annie Thomson, Matawatchan, Ont. He was predeceased by cousin, Ashley Power. Visiting 7-9 p.m. today in Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton. Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday in Queen of Heaven, 14 Wing, Greenwood. Burial in North Kingston Cemetery, Kingston. Donations to Middleton Regional High School, New Recreation/Fine Arts Facility.
