It's been 8 years since the last update! In that time I've: gotten married to Whitney, had two boys, Micheal and Oliver, changed jobs a couple of times (now with Corel Software), bought a house in Ottawa and had a chance to do some traveling. Everything continues to be great. If anyone is in Ottawa, please drop a line. Would love to hook up.

Hi all. On the path to wherever I'm going, I finished my B.Ed., taught & coached for a few years, travelled through Africa & Europe and now work (if you can call it that) as an ocean kayak guide spring to fall.
Experienced a 12,000 foot skydive (45 second freefall), slept on live volcanoes in Sicily, went climbing & canyoning in the Blue Mountains last fall where Mission Impossible II had just been filmed, almost died white water rafting on the Zambezi (watch out for Patella's Gap) & visited my little bro' Darrell in Japan for the Olympics (we stayed in a Buddhist Temple close to where the opening ceremonies were held).
Somehow, I managed to get front row seats for David Letterman by trading my ROOTS CANADA sweatshirt with a drunken FEMALE member of the CBS crew at 5:30 am in a bar called The Pink Elephant, while hanging out with the Canadian Women's Hockey Team & Brett Lindros.
My winters are usually spent helping people start their own businesses, taking a little trip and spending time with my children, Alec, 4 and Bronte, 3. I will be between the Toronto Islands, Georgian Bay & Nova Scotia this winter.
I'm on day four of a 14-day fast (The Master Cleanser) and could really go for a steak on the BBQ.
Well, that's my life since high school. Take care. Drop a line or drop by the St. Mary's Boat Club in Halifax.
Ed

I'm back 'down home'! After studying photography in Winnipeg, I returned to NS briefly then back out west to pursue a career in journalism. I went 'north of 66' for a two year adventure in Inuvik, then to Alberta for 8 years. While there, I married, worked as a journalist, farmed 500 head of sheep, then 50 head of bison, did some construction, became a counsellor, divorced, and moved back to Nova Scotia in May of 2001. I am operating a photography business again and living in my dream lakefront home. I have no children.
Marshall (brother-grad of 1985) is living in Calgary with 2 children, another on the way and is frequently featured on Outdoor Life Network (OLN) as a 'big tough guy'.

It's been a long time sence I've seen the home land. Since I left the Valley in 89 I have become an Aeroscapce Telecommunications Information Systems Technician with the Military. I've walked on 6 continents on three different around the world trips. Worked Electronics security on the Prime Minister's aircraft on all overseas flights, and spent six month's in the desert as a UN Peacekeeper.
Currently I am a Computer Support Specialist here in Ottawa. I was looking forward to making it home this summer for the Reunion but I'm being shipped off to sunny Saskatoon.
Hope those who make it have a great time.

Hey everyone,
I just stumbled across this site and... Wow...is it ever cool! It sounds like everyone has done well for themselves. I like Deb's idea for a 40th birthday reunion. Can you believe that we are all actually about to turn 40 next year!!!
I moved to Alberta a couple of years after Grad, ran a racehorse stable in the foothills for 6 years and had a blast, then settled down to married life and raising a daughter. I'm still married (John is an artist) and Kate is now 11. We moved to the Edmonton area a few years ago and I've been working as an special needs educational assistant for the past 7 years, and writing for magazines, etc. I have a series of books coming out in April (my dream come true) and I'm really happy.
I get home to the Valley as often as I can (all of my family are still there), and John and I have considered a move back east. Still considering - not sure if it will happen or not.
I'd love to hear from someone - drop me a line.
Judy
