Hiya folks.
It's been a long time since I've seen any of you. Before I give you the dirty I gotta say Jeff's Bio is the best if not slightly mentally unstable. I'm still in the Air Force and residing in Labrador where I'm so far north I gotta come south to hunt. Seriously it's beautiful up here and I'm doing O.K. I'm a flight engineer now doing Base search and rescue with 444 Sqn. Looks like I'll be posted back to the area this summer when I go to 413 Sqn in Greenwood. It's a great job and I love it. I was married for a few years and was lucky enough to be blessed with a beautiful set of twins. Thomas and Ben are now 11 and keep reminding me of how much a pain in the keaster I was!! (sidebar) If anyone has any idea on how to get 11 year old boys to listen please call. That's all I got so if anyone wants to drop me a line feel free. Take care folks.

Hi everyone,
Since graduating, I attended Carleton University, graduating with a Bachelor of Journalism in 1988, and spending the next decade in journalism. I worked as an editor, reporter and photographer for various publications, including community newspapers, large daily newspapers in Cornwall, Kingston and Ottawa, Ontario, and EnRoute magazine in Montreal.
Along the way, I met and married Jon Fee, and we have two little girls (now age 4&7)
Four years ago, after receiving a terrible kindergarten school photo of our eldest, I travelled to Atlanta to study portrait photography and since then have been busy photographing weddings, dance schools, hockey teams and family portraits. Two years ago I left journalism and last year attained a Licentiate Professional Photographer of Ontario award. Photography is still fun. You may remember me as that yearbook person who kept taking pictures. I guess that's how I got hooked!
Prescott is small, a bit like MIddleton, so we keep busy doing a variety of things while taxi-ing the children off to school and their activities.
Although I was at MRHS only three years, I have many good memories. The last year, with the grad parties, was a blast.
Take Care, Christine

Dear Gang,
I received an e-mail from Phil Pidgeon today (September 29,2004) and thought that it would be great to be in touch with the group.
I have been living in B.C. for nearly 13 years now. I am married and live in Kelowna, 4 hours east of Vancouver. My wife is a vice-principal at a local high school and I am a part owner of 3 physiotherapy clinics (all under the Pinnacle Physiotherapy name...thus my e-mail address) in the Okanagan Valley.
Our most successful clinic is in Kelowna and is in a new sports facility which will eventually have 4 regulation indoor rinks, 4 indoor soccer/field hockey fields, a 50 metre pool, fitness facility, and multiple outdoor baseball/softball fields.
I currently work as a physiotherapist part time and am doing bimechanical analysis for provincial, national, and international athletes. This is the more interesting part of my work as I am able to network with people around the world and travel to different countries. With the Olympics in Vancouver in 2010 the job is quite exciting at the moment.
I have not gained much weight since high school...still have all my hair...still loose bets on basketball and hockey games to my brother. My wife has converted me to be a Vancouver Canuck fan...what else can I say?
Maintain,
Roy

Jeff Kenney jdog at sympatico dot ca
Jeff was born on the shores of the Tigres river in 1866, shortly after the Norman invasion of Croatia. He was raised by his parents until 1869, when he was reluctantly sold to a band of harmonica-playing trapeze artists to help pay for the expanding war effort.
Life was good for the fledgling performer until one tragic day in July of 1922, when a renegade group of terrorists known as the Chilian front for Slavic Pasta-Makers detonated an explosive under a passing train bound for Constantinople. The train was heavily laden with relief supplies for the Middle-Eastern Meat-Eaters Coalition for the Liberation of Vegetables, who were running dangerously low on Boullibaise.
Tragically, both his foster parents and all thirty seven of his twenty four siblings were killed in the resulting hail of giblets.
Finding himself orphaned at the tender age of seven, Jeff set out on a twenty six year journey around the world, eventually leading him to the career to which he was most uniquely qualified: nude arctic snow-tuber and lemon pie spokesperson for Greenpeace.
It was in a dank and foul smelling saloon some 200 kms north of Anchorage Alaska, that Jeff was discovered passed out in a bowl of guacamole by a travelling Newbridge recruiter. Instantly recognizing that this young go-getter had what it takes to succeed in high-tech, Jeff was spirited away from Alaska, across the Andes and through the farthest reaches of the Pennesylvanian rainforest to Kanata, where he was promptly committed to the Betty Ford wing of Newbridge Networks Corporation.
He still resides there today.
Jeff holds a doctorate degree in Sanscrit and spends his free time constructing a 27 foot likeness of Walter Koenig out of spent toilet paper tubes.
Donations are welcome.

I moved from N.S. in 1993 and have not been back in three or four years. I first moved to Montreal for three years and then onto Saskatoon, where I have been for the last two years and a bit. I would like to hear from anyone with an update on the happenings in Middleton. For those who know us, Tam (Ells) and I are still together, and we both would like to hear from you. Does anyone have info on the 50th anniversary reunion?

Since my last update there have been a few changes. I was a victim of the dot.com meltdown and was one of 20,000 high tech workers laid off in Ottawa in 2001. I am now a permanent government employee at Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC) and have been with the government for 2.5 years. I am the Project Manager for the Employment Insurance Web based application for benefits. You’ll use this if you apply for EI on the Internet or in an HRDC office.
In May of 2002 I completed the Project Management program at Algonquin College, and in December of that year I passed the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) professional certification and can now stick the initials PMP after my name.
In my last update I mentioned that we were shopping for a new house. We will have been in our present location for 4 years come July 2004. We are living in a suburban part of Ottawa and really like it (much to our surprise!). My kids Megan (10) and Kevin (9) continue to amaze us all the time. Megan is in a program for gifted students and Kevin is an absolute whiz at math (Lord knows he got that from his father!).
My mother passed away from cancer in October 2002 and that was pretty tough. My Dad died in 1993, also from cancer. My mom had been re-married for 5 months when her second husband died in January 2002. She certainly did not have an easy go of it, but she was never bitter or self-serving. My brother is now living in our old house in Wilmot.
Hard to believe it will have been 20 years since graduation this summer. If we knew then what we know now…I am amazed from reading updates on this site of how many people stayed in the Valley. I have now lived in Ottawa longer than anywhere else in my life (since 1989), but Nova Scotia will always be home, although I like it here a great deal.

A quick update - as of January 2004, I am now working full time for my company (Advanced H.E.P.A. Technologies Inc., www.advancedhepa.com). It is a lot of work, but I am enjoying the process of building my small company with the help of my partners. I would like to hear from other MRHS grads from the mid eighties, so drop me a line at my email address.

Lana Cheney Living in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada chenel at parl dot gc dot ca
Since leaving Middleton almost seventeen years ago, (has it been that long?!) I have been happily living in Ottawa. My career began as a Ballroom Dance Instructor teaching latin and typical ballroom fare (rumba, waltz, tango, samba etc). It was a good time and experience - I really love the arts and was able to compete in a few national competitions. Although I lived and breathed dancing, I realized I couldn't do it forever. You know, gettin' older and all. :)
So, I decided to return to school where I received a Business Marketing degree. After the schooling was finished, I became totally immersed in the printing trade - starting out as a Lithographer, moving up to Production Manager, onto Account Executive then, today, as a Desktop Publisher / Graphic Designer for the House of Commons. I also own a company with my husband called "Networx ltd." that basically involves er, networking, (who da guessed it?!), Desktop Publishing and Graphics. It has been growing steadily since it's start-up and eventually it may require me to decide whether to hand the managing over to someone else or to leave my job on Parliament Hill and devote myself to it full time.
In my personal life, I finally got married (my sister Nadine, who is also living in Ottawa, and I had a contest to see who could hold out the longest - She won!). His name is Robert, who just happened to share the same last name (MacKenzie) as my mother and stepfather. Kind of funny when I changed my name it only then matched my mothers. I think it's supposed to be the other way around! Anyway, Rob and I had a big house built out in the suburbs of Ottawa where there are countless tasks to keep us busy. I never would've thought I'd become so domesticated - but I wouldn't have it any other way!
As to my hobbies and what else I've been doing, uhmmm, I spent seven years working towards and earning my black belt in the martial art of Taekwon-do.... uhmmm, I also have become somewhat of a computer geek - you know, it's all my job's fault! ;-). and lastly, Nadine and I also had a blast in Europe a few years back (now they won't let us back in! ;)
Well, I guess that sums up my life to this point. Nearly seventeen years in four paragraphs! Love to get in touch with any old friends. I can be reached by e-mail or through my web site.

Hi, I've been living almost 10 years in New Minas where I am in a job share position teaching elementary music to grades P-5,who knew?!! In my spare time, I spoil my 3 dogs, do some substitute teaching, seek my fortune on Ebay, and relax at 69 Seaman Street in Margaretsville, where I'm renovating a new "getaway" called the Dogs' Inn...... If you're by, stop in and see me, if you like dogs and, oh, be sure to wear your old clothes! Things can get pretty hairy around there!
