I've been at SFU for 4 years now, so I thought I'd better update my contact info. in case someone wanted to find me. Otherwise, not much has changed. Same wife and kids. Still a post-doc in a bio lab. Did a little teaching as well. Bought a townhouse in the suburbs (Coquitlam), so I guess we'll be in this area a while. Drop by if you are ever in the Vancouver area.

After leaving MRHS I went to DAL to study pharmacy. I worked in Middleton a short while after graduating from DAL but moved to Kentville after getting married to Randy in 1989. We lived there 10 years but decided to move closer to "home" in 1997 after having our daughter Kacie. We were only in Kingston 2 years when Randy left Michelin to work in Chester. We moved near Mahone Bay in June 2000 and I just started a new job at a pharmacy in Lunenburg.

Hi folks,
currently living/working in Ottawa as a project manager for Canada Post's stamp products.
I got into pottery back in November of '03 and have since been selling sculptural pieces at various art shows. There's something to be said for making money while playing with mud!
I share my house with a 2 year old black Standard Poodle (minus the sissy cut) and I never manage to get all the weeds out of the garden.
Life is good :)

Decided it was time to update my bio. Norm and I moved into Edmonton in September, bought a new home and gave up farming. I am working for a machine shop, loving every minute of it, and Norm is back working in the oilpatch as a driller. Life is more relaxed, and stress free. I don't think life can get much better. Would love to hear from fellow grads and classmates. Here is a quote that sums everything up....."Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting WOW...what a Ride"!!

Enjoying life in Ottawa. We have been here for just over three years. Married to Tracey (McGillivray - Acadia class of 87). Currently, working as an Inspector for Transport Canada.
First year and a half in Ottawa, flew night freight for KnightHawk Air Express. The nine years prior were spent in Cold Lake, Alberta, flying fighters in the Air Force.
Flight training and Acadia before that.
It's almost been twenty years since graduation! There's a scary thought.

Upon leaving MRHS in 1983, I headed west - WAY west! I attended Trinity Western University in Langley BC for a year and then took a job as a supervisor in a helicopter overhaul and repair shop. I spent ten years there, and eventually ended up spending close to 14 years in the aviation industry. I have since switched to the oilfield construction industry and have really enjoyed my last three years in that field. In September of 1990, I took the plunge and married Charlene Calvert on a boat just off the shores of Vancouver. We live in Edmonton, endure the winter weather, love the summer weather and play a whole lot of both winter and summer sports.
I look forward to hearing from all of you! Maybe, hopefully, we'll get home this summer and get a chance to see y'all. Drop me a line, and I'll give you a shout back.

Hi all. After graduation I took my nurses training in Yarmouth. 19 years later I am still nursing, though about to retire and go back in to business for myself. I have only been in California 2 years. Nice and warm, great experience but my husband and 3 kids (yes 3)and myself will be returning to Canada soon.

I enjoy going on the web site to see what everyone is doing but have never posted before.....I am currently living in Ajax ON with my husband of 16 years, Dale, and our two children: Eric-almost 13 and Alexandria-10.
I arrived in the big TO in 1987 after graduating from Dal. As a nurse I have had a few of different careers: NICU, Public Health and Pediatrics. In 1999 I went back to university and am now working as a Nurse Practitioner at a inner city Community Health Centre. It is both fun and challenging to have my own practice. I am enjoying it very much.
Dale, the kids and I get home to NS at least once a year. It is great to see Wendy, Annette, Karen and Donna on those visits. Otherwise we are very busy ferrying kids around to hockey and swimming....I started playing hockey myself ~ 5 years ago....it is sooooomuch fun!
I wish everyone a Happy 2008 and may it be a safe and prosperous one for us all.
Trish

My long-promised update: I recently received my teaching qualification for the German school system and am now enjoying the challenges of teaching English and bilingual history at Karolinen-Gymnasium in Frankenthal, Germany. It was a not-so-enjoyable challenge going back to school to get my qualification since I already had teaching qualifications and have been teaching since graduating from Queen's (B.Ed) back in the early 90s (but of course the Germans didn't recognize this) and since I had to do everything in German! I've learned a lot of German the past few years but have to give credit where credit is due to my editor, reviser, sometime ghost writer, my husband of 12 years, Hansjoerg. We share a happy home with Daniel, age 10 (he also started German high school this year, just like his Mom), Pearls the cat (age 5), Erny the dog (age 2) and my mother-in-law (won't say how old she is).
We live very intensively with work, friends, family and sports (curling and swimming). Two bouts of cancer have made me aware of the value of every moment. Most of the time I feel like the Energizer Bunny that keeps on going and going and going; when things are a bit rougher, more like the Timex watch that takes a licking and keeps on ticking. So far so good as I live from check up to check up. Can't get through life without a sense of humor. Greetings to all.

I have been married since 1989 to Aaron and we have one daughter, Amy, born in 1996. I have worked here in Truro as a payroll/systems administrator for about 5 years. Before that I was an accounting clerk with an aerospace company near the airport for 8 years.
Although I didn't graduate from MRHS, I'd love to hear from some "old" classmates.
